Roles
What these actually mean
Most people here wear more than one hat, so roles are listed as a set rather than a title.
- Organizer
- Runs the community and owns the programme calendar.
- Co-Organizer
- Shares that load; co-hosts competitions and events.
- Community Manager
- Keeps the group alive day to day — posts, questions, members.
- Moderator
- Keeps the group civil and on topic.
- Volunteer
- Turns up on event day and makes it run.
- Mentor
- Sits with teams during builds and answers the awkward questions.
- Judge
- Scores submissions against a published rubric.

We need volunteers far more often than we need anything else — people to help run a session, mentor a team, moderate the group, or judge submissions. It is unpaid, like everything else here, and we issue a certificate for it.
