Get involved
There is a door in for everyone.
Speak, judge, host a campus stop, or fund one. Students included — most of our speakers started as attendees.
Ways to get involved
Speak or run a workshop
Anyone — including current students — can apply to lead a workshop or give a talk. Past speakers covered AI agents in healthcare, MLflow, reinforcement learning and agent orchestration.
- Social feature, with a chance of appearing on Google for Developers channels
- A path toward the Google AI Community Network
- Community-sourced swag
- A LinkedIn recommendation for consistent contributors
Judge an event
Review projects against a published rubric so every team gets a fair evaluation. An AI pre-pass gathers the evidence; judges make the call.
- Scored against a rubric you can see in advance
- Evidence gathered from the live demo, repo and write-up
- Named on the event page
- Students are welcome to judge too
Host a campus stop
We pair with a department or IEEE student branch at your university and bring the format, the MLH and Google for Developers backing, the judges and the prizes. You bring a room and your students.
- Free for your students, always
- We handle format, judging rubric and platform
- Your department credited as campus host
- Recap and media coverage after the event
Sponsor an event
Sponsor funding goes to logistics — food, travel, venue, swag, prizes — so participation stays free. There is no title sponsor tier and no naming rights on any hackathon.
- Recognition tiers from Series Partner to In-Kind Partner
- Judge nomination rights at the top tier
- Logo placement, recap mentions and stage acknowledgment
- Every taka is traceable to logistics, not access
Sponsorship
Partnership tiers
There is deliberately no Title Sponsor tier and no naming rights on any hackathon. Support is recognised by what it makes possible, not by what it renames.
| Tier | Support scope | Recognition |
|---|---|---|
| Series Partner | Multi-campus operational backing and scale funding | Highest logo tier, speaking acknowledgment, judge nomination rights, priority consideration for flagship events |
| Campus Partner | Funds a specific university stop (e.g. 100–200 participants) | Logo on that event's page, local networking presence, opening-remarks acknowledgment |
| Travel & Access Partner | Covers intercity travel, logistics and overnight volunteer stays | Brand association with regional reach, dedicated recap mention, logo inclusion |
| Gift Partner | Provides winner crests, certificates and prizes | “Awards presented by [Partner]” acknowledgment, stage presence at closing |
| In-Kind Partner | Provides meals, local transport or printing services | Signage at distribution points, social shoutouts, operational integration |
For single-day flagship events we’ve also used a simpler two-package model sized to that event’s own logistics budget. Tell us your budget and what you want out of it — shahriar@mlbangladesh.org.
