The Program

Build With AI Hack Days

A campus hackathon series running across 17+ universities in Bangladesh through 2025–2026. Half a day. Zero to a deployed Google AI app. Free for every student.

Who we are

Machine Learning Bangladesh (ML Bangladesh) is an independent, volunteer-run developer community with over 3,000 active members. We're one of the most active TensorFlow User Groups in South Asia, part of the Google AI Community Network and the GDG ecosystem, and supported through the MLH Scaled Community Support Program.

The team operates with no office, no institutional budget line, and no paid staff. The program is led by Shahriar Azad Evan — a tech community builder, event maestro, and sophomore CS student. Bangladesh's only Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning, Abu Anwar Md Abdullah, serves as technical advisor.

15+ events shipped

Workshops, study jams, hackathons, and the national ML Olympiad.

The problem we're solving

The gap between Bangladeshi CS students and real industry skills is wide and growing. Students learn theory and graduate without ever having shipped anything — never used a production API, never deployed an app, never built under pressure.

The university-to-industry pipeline is also Dhaka-centric. Students at BUET, BRACU, and NSU get opportunities. Students at Varendra in Rajshahi, KUET in Khulna, or CUET in Chittagong get almost nothing. Build With AI Hack Days exists to fix that.

Event format

Roughly three hours from start. Two parallel tracks — Best Use of Gemini API and Best App Deployed on Google Cloud. Individual submissions, not team-based, so every participant actually builds something.

  1. 1

    Arrival & Check-in

Participants check in, collect $5 Google Cloud credit codes, get seated, verify internet.

  2. 2

    Welcome & Workshop

45-minute live demo: Gemini API, AI Studio, Antigravity, Cloud Run, Flutter basics.

  3. 3

    Hacking Begins

Open build time — organizers and judges circulate to assist and advise.

  4. 4

    Submissions Close

Devpost submission window closes; no late entries accepted.

  5. 5

    Demo & Judging

Judges review each project and grade it on a published rubric.

  6. 6

    Awards & Closing

Winners announced; crests and swag distributed; sponsor speaker (if applicable).

Technology stack

The tools workshop covers the core stack so every participant can ship — regardless of cloud experience.
